Chocolate Hemp Bicycle bars…

I cycle lots. Not fast and not always far. But often. And for that, I need power. Today it came in the form of these goodie bars. Packed with nuts and nibbly-nobbly nibs, not too toothsomely sweet but enough to want to make friends with a coconut milk decaff.

In a bowl tip some oats, buckwheaties, a big tumble of hulled hemp seeds, cacao nibs, cacao powder, toasted assorted nuts- cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, pumpkin seeds and chopped dates. Then melt vanilla, coconut oil and rice syrup until melty and melted and then mix. Press down, drizzle with a touch more syrup, and then bake on low for 20 minutes or so. Cool properly then wedge and enjoy.
